What Is Voile - Swiss Voile Lace

Voile is a soft, sheer fabric, usually made of 100% cotton or cotton blends including linen, silk, or polyester. Voile fabric is used in dress-making. Voile is very similar to chiffon, which is also used in dress-making. Voile tends to be semi-transparent in look, is a high quality fabric, and drapes well.

One product of the voile fabric is the popular lace fabric known as Voile Lace. Voile Lace fabric is very popular among Africans, especially Nigerians and Ghanaians. A particular brand, Swiss Voile Lace, is a high quality lace material that is sourced from Swiss, Austria and some other parts of the world.
