The Three Wise Women

62

By ComfortB

From time in memorial, women have been blamed for the fall of mankind. It all started in the Garden of Eden when Eve (the woman that God created), who was tempted by the serpent caused her husband, Adam (the first man created), through the deceit of the serpent to sin against God.

And so it happened, that through Eve's disobedience, mankind died spiritually and were removed from a place of fellowship with God.

The Woman, have also been blamed for the mess we now have in the Middle-East. Well, you know how Sarah, Abraham, and Hagar somehow equalled Ishmael, who is known to be the patriarch of the Arab peoples residing in Arab territories. And the story goes on (Homework -Genesis 16 - 25).

So with The Woman getting the bad rap all the time, what could have changed if women were the first to see baby Jesus. The bible tells of the wise men from the east travelling from far to see the new born king. Let's replace these wise men with women, (I shuddered).

  • Would history have been different if they were infact, the three wise women?
  • Would it have changed for good, or for bad?

We really can change what's happened, neither are we going to get anywhere by speculating over 'what could have been', or 'what might have happened', but I thought I might just put a smile on your face by sharing this with you (A friend of mine sent this to me). have a great time laughing ladies and gents.

Women! This does sound like something we would have done, doesn't it?

But ain't you glad that God's plan for mankind happened just as the bible says it did. You and I don't have to worry about 'what coulds', and 'what ifs'. All we have to do is be thankful for the baby boy that was born in a manger. Who grew up to become the atonement for our sins on the cross of Calvary, and rose again on the third day that we might be redeemed to live with him eternally.

Praise the Lord, He is the King of KIngs and the Reason for the Season. Alleluia!

And the bible says, "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord,"and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

Although It is true that women have to take the wrap for the fall of man, it is not only the woman's fault. Adam as head of the first family should not have listened to his wife, he should have been his own man.

As for your idea about 3 wise women, it could never have happened. Women were not people of power in those times and still are not.

@Dave Matthews - I like everything you said, but what do you mean by "Women were not people of power in those times and still are not." The "and still are not." is the part I'm having trouble with Dave.

I love you brother, but that part right there, "You Got That Wrong". I can go on and on with the list of women who are people of power, back then, and now.

Thanks anyway for stopping by. Have a very Merry Christmas!

ComfortB: Truly women all around the world are becoming stronger, they are becoming leaders both in business as well as in politics and I for one am glad to see the changes, but let's face it, the real power being wielded in business and in politics is at the hands of men who control oil, banking, political heads of state.

I know that the power these people have is actually illusionary, and that if it were not granted by Almighty God, they would have no power at all. Still until God changes things, it is still a man's world, and fact is God and Jesus are both male.

Commenting only on the fact that women are blamed for the fall of mankind. Every time I hear that Eve messed up, I want to scream, "But Mary cleaned up." God used Mary (without any help from a man) to birth the Savior who forgives and restores mankind. Both the fall and the restoration feature women prominently. Let's talk about them evenly.

I can agree with MsDora to a degree. As we all know, according to the Bible, since God is Our Father, and God caused Mary to conceive, still a man was involved in the making of Jesus. Sorry! It can't happen without a man.
